Request:

A long time ago, I created a customized view for an Outlook folder (Outlook 2002 / Exchange 5.5). It had custom fields, etc.

Now, whenever I create a new folder ANYWHERE in Outlook, it is created with this custom view, and I have to "un-customize it" back to normal.

How can I tell Outlook to just use the regular view when it creates a new folder?

I need to be able to reset the list of cached email addresses in Outlook 2002.

When you start a new email, and you start typing a new address in the "To" box, it gives you a drop-down list of matching addresses that you've sent email to in the past?

I want to reset that list -- the list as it stands today is full of invalid emails addresses and addresses to which I've only ever sent one email. Can't figure out how to do it.

Welcome to a HELP!blog category!

Requests will be posted here as the arrive for the category listed above.

You can subscribe to the newsfeed for this category by getting the URL from the small orange box (XML) at right. (Right-click on Windows or on the Mac Control key-click and copy to your clipboard and paste into your Newsreader or news aggregator. Why if your application supports "drag & drop", you can just drag the "XML box" into your newsreader.)

Awaiting your needs and of course awaiting others' interest in helping you.

There is no guarantee expressed or implied that you will receive help. However, this is a nice mechanism or "needs clearinghouse" for any of us to use in hopes that the good folk out there will have an answer or help.

After all, how can we help each other if we don't know each other's needs.
So feel free to help get the word out so that there are always lots of helpers listening.

So HELP!blog is another attempt to light an additional bright candle among other good efforts.
Thanks for your interest and your support.
