Nine out of Ten WSJ Readers Demand More Space for Gomes. In a not too surprising development today in blogdom, faithful, paying readers of the Wall Street Journal (some both buy the newstand and subscribe electronically!) have started a petition to convince Journal editors that Lee Gomes deserves enough words to fully develop the brilliance that he brings to WSJ readers weekly. Today's Question: Is there a site that tracks the most popular blogs? Research... First, there was weblogs.com Then...Technorati And... Daypop And... Feedster... which can rank newsfeeds from blogs in popularity. And... Popdex And... Blogdex... from the folks at MIT And... Blogshares... this guy created a stock market where folks could buy & trade valued blogs. To name a few. And thankfully, our new blog service HELP!blog is starting to get some notice. We appeared at number 45 on the Popdex index today... hopefully with a bullet! We're still waiting on our three directories of blogs by name, iteople, blogs by town, itown, and blogs by things (topics) itopik to appear ! Hey and Lee, I enjoyed the Python/Perl article this week.
